Hello, and welcome to the Stl Comics Pizza Hut Editions Gallery!
Damn those guys, they've done it to me again! Here I was, minding my own business (not really), and Harry and Roger have to come along and start talking about these damned Pizza Hut books. The next thing I know I'm buying a Superman #97 at the comic show. A month later, here's the gallery. :D
Now that you know what to look for, go find some Pizza Hut comics!

Hahaha — this is the fun part
I like pizza. I like comics. Imagine that.
So my buddy Roger, starts showing me these books on Ebay. He calls them “variants” which gets me going. Next thing you know, I have the DC and Marvel regular size ones.
Note to self — Stop listening to Roger.
These books are very cool, and fun to collect. Thanks James for another great Gallery.
Come talk to us at the STL Variant Mafia Forum!

Ah pizza and comics… they go together like wings and football, popcorn and movies, cotton candy and the circus, etc. So it only stands to reason that these two institutions would get together especially since all kids love pizza and comics (well they did in the 70’s and 90’s at least). Well here we have the big two comic companies - DC and Marvel in partnership with Pizza Hut to bring you some really nice comics.
The first set up is the DC reprint set from 1977. They reprinted two issues each of their most recognized characters: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. These comics are fairly complete reprints of the originals from the 1950’s-including most of the ads. Of course you will find Pizza Hut ads on the inside covers but you still got a very nice comic with your meal.
For whatever reason the next Pizza Hut tie-in wasn’t until 1993 when Marvel got in the act with some X-Men promos. The first was the Creator’s Choice set which was a mini-comic that came with an X-Men video, trading card and pull out poster. You had to buy both of the videos to get the full set.
The next Marvel/Pizza Hut set were the Marvel Collector’s Edition X-Men promos. This was a 4-issue polybagged set and each featured team-ups of different X-Men. Unlike the Creator’s Choice promos these were given away free if you asked for them (I did).
Lastly we have the “Real Heroes” giveaway set from 1994. This was also a 4-issue polybagged set but this time you got a trading card as well. They featured four Marvel heroes in each comic including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk, Iron Man and some of the X-Men.
