Born in 1965 on a farm in rural East Texas, I am a proud product of Texas public schools
and state universities. My background is print journalism, having worked for newspapers
and magazines for about 15 years. I now reside in Dallas, Texas, where I write on a freelance
basis and am a stay-at-home dad to a great 3-year-old son.
I’ve been reading and collecting comics for 33 years now. The first comic I remember buying was
Fantastic Four #108 in 1971. Over the years, I’ve owned and managed comic book stores, rather
poorly, I might add, and worked more than 60 conventions as a dealer. But above all, I’m a comic
fan.
